Each with two set screws to keep them tight, and no you don't have to go crazy tightening set screws, they grab the pipe very easily. The Speedrail Split Cross is a variation of the Cross. It can be used to attach onto a pipe without taking it out of other fittings. The Split Cross can do things that other Speedrail Fitttings can't. This is because of the removable top piece of one of the cross sides.
