you can loose a panel to a hail storm cheaper than you can frame it. I bhogut a few extra panels, and hope to scrounge up a few more bucks for another 10 pack . If you look around, the industry is using frameless panels more and more, they're actually pretty tough. You have more risk handling the panel than when its well mounted.. By the time you find something and implement it, well, then you still got to clamp it.. so, just use plenty of structure/clamps. When working on any panel that had the jbox removed, Take Note, You must be careful to separate the laminated conductors without damaging the tab coming from the nearest cell.. make sure you look at the face of the panel and note where the tab comes up to the bus. Make sure you dont overheat the bus when soldering tabs. Be carefull not to gob the solder, and make sure you insulate the two conductors from eachother. Test the panel before you begin to solder anything, after you solder, before you glue the box to the back, and as soon as you glue it, before the glue sets to make sure all circuits are producing their share, and all circuits add up. If its not right, thatll be your chance to make it right. Also Note, on My 225 s, each half of the panel has a bus bar that has 2 flat conductors sandwiched pretty tight together. It takes a good amount of gentle, controlled force to separate the upper and lower conductor. Take your time! Enjoy the savings!Hope these thoughts helpPete
